3rd ANNUAL YOUTH SUMMIT OVERVIEW:
The Sista-2-Sista Youth Summit will empower 125 young women of Pan-African descent to reach their full potential by engaging them in panel discussions, workshops, live entertainment, and reflective activities. Utilizing a 3 step-process of self-awareness, self-appreciation, and self-actualization these workshops and panels will equip the students with fundamental tools to make well-informed decisions today and in the future.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
High school-aged young women of Pan-African descent
SUMMIT TOPICS:
The workshops and panels will include in-depth explorations of the following areas:
- Personal Accountability: Forgiveness
- Overcoming Barriers & Actualizing Goals
- Healthy Relationships
- Community Activism
- Health & Wellness
- Representation of Pan-African Women in the Media

Multi-faceted television personality and certified Renaissance woman, Lauren Lake, simultaneously balances careers law, interior design, and entertainment. Lauren, a licensed attorney, is a regular on-air legal commentator on Fox News, CNN, and Headline News, and has served as guest anchor for MSNBC and Court TV. She has appeared as a legal and relationship expert on the "Dr. Phil", "Montel Williams", Maury ", "Ricki Lake" and "Greg Behrendt" shows.
