ALISON CARNEY
Alison Carney is bold, crazy, silly, spicy, soft, crass, funky, on first glance, Alison Carney appears to be the girl-next-door "girly" chick, but lets keep it real, she is everything but! Everybody has tried to put her in a box, but how do you contain something that's ready to explode? Take a little bit of progressive soul, a little hip-hop, and mix it with crazy flow. She's going to give you more than what you want. She's going to deliver what you've been searching for.
Alison was a lead vocalist in the nine-piece Soul experience Yamama'Nym and with them spent four years hitting hot spots up and down the East Coast and Midwest, recording live shows for XM Radio, writing for and performing on two studio albums (2AM and Due Time), and touring both Japan and Korea. The band evolved to become Solystik (soul-LISS-tick), a sleek five-piece band that has given Alison more creative control than any artist can ask for. Alison was "stunning and a crowd favorite" at the First and Second Annual J Dilla Tribute in Washington, DC has she shared the stage with phenomenal artists including Grammy-nominated Raheem DeVaughn, Dwele, Slum Village, Wes Felton (W. Ellington Felton), Asheru, Muhsinah, Wayna, Kaimbr, Kokayi, Chokolate, DJ Roddy Rod, Jlaine and many others.
